Prayer of Salvation

We have placed the prayer of salvation at the end of this page.

This introduction explains how you as an individual can come to know Father God personally in your life and experience the life and destiny that He has for you.

“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

Father God (Adonai Avinu) loves you with a perfect love made just for you.

In fact the Bible says, For God so loved the world (you), that he gave his only begotten Son (Jesus), that whosoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him should not perish  (be lost, be ruined with destruction), but have everlasting life (here and in heaven after death).17 For God did not send his Son (Jesus) into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16-17)

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. (1 Timothy 1:15)

Father God wants you to know Him

Jesus said, And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (John 17:3)

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. (1 Peter 3:18)

Good works cannot save you it’s a gift of grace.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

The Bible says there is only one way to know Father God

Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.” (John 14:6)

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4;12)

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. (Luke 19;10)

The most important question you can ever ask is “what must I do to be saved?”

Then, leading them outside, the dungeon the jailer said, “gentlemen, what must I do to be saved:” And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:29-30)

  1. Admit that sin is in your life.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (Romans 5:12)

“If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” (1 John 1:10)

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6;23)

  1. Be willing to turn from sin which seperates us from God and His love (the Bible calls this repentance).

Jesus said: “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:5)

“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:” (Acts 17:30)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1;9)

  1. Believe in Jesus Christ God’s solution for our sin, that He died for you on the cross and rose from the dead.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

“But God commandeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners. Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

After his death he showed himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. During a period of forty days they saw him, and he spoke with them about the Kingdom of God. (Acts 1:3)

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

For the preaching of the cross (the tree of the curse of G-d ) is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. (1 Cor 1:18)

4.  Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Saviour then you can know God the Father and experience His love for you.

“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:10)

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Revelations 3:20)

What to pray (prayer is simply talking to God)

Dear Father God, I realise I am separated from you by my sinfulness and need your forgiveness in my life.

I am sorry that I have been going my own way instead of your way.

I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for me on the cross paying in full for all my sin, I confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead.

I willingly turn from my life of separation from You. I now invite you Jesus Christ to come into my heart as my personal Saviour and Lord. I believe I am forgiven and saved,

Amen.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” (John 1:12)

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
